Looking down what is quite a steep staircase by modern standards. New risers in place and entire structure stiffened up and squeak free with about 6 tubes of PL and 150 tread and riser screws.
Custom stain match to the flooring only "works" if it's a very quick coat and wiped down immediately. Didn't check with the risers and put two long heavy stain coats on. Much too dark. So painted them alltrim white.
Old starway carpet, tile, and nosing/overhang removed.

Downstairs living room a workspace and staging area for supplies, painting, etc. Also new potlights in the ceiling make the room a lot brighter.
Baseboard in office mostly in, and most of the coped and mitered cuts worked out as intended.

Door casings and trim undercut where needed to 3/4" to allow wood underneath. Some spots it is already higher so I will somehow need to deal with gaps.
New subfloor layed down in office. Correctly calculated plywood needs so left with about 1/2 sheet.

Laminate and underpad removed, leaving a different type of tile, this yile lauer was very well attached (everything was sawed into chunks and removed as sandwiches.)

Closet full insulated with ROXUL, wire up with plugs, lights, and data port (for wireless access point) and lined with plywood waiting for final pine paneling surface.

Plaster and lath cleaned up, wall removed, old floor still in place in the "other half" of the closet.

Lots of reinforcement and support for the upstairs landing and entrance to rooms, since this is the highest traffic area and subject to a lot of squeaks.
Able to deduce where there was a hidden splice between old and new wires.
